The Chairman, Liz Turner, and Committee members invited new members to an evening event kindly hosted by Andrew Cutler.
This was a wonderful opportunity to meet many of the members who joined the Association in recent months. The Chairman has already received some very positive comments from those members that had attended and the general feeling was that the event was very worthwhile.
Exciting invitation for members of Friends of Ravenna
Our friends “Amici di Ravenna” are offering 8 of our members the opportunity to go to Ravenna and learn how to make a mosaic. Participants will pay for travel and the courses but will be generously hosted for free by some of their members. This will take place in early May and other activities such as cookery classes and Italian conversation may also be on offer. Ravenna is known the world over for its Byzantine mosaics and this is a wonderful opportunity to learn about this beautiful art form. This event will strengthen further the close links that we have established with this lovely city. All members have already been sent further details.
If you are not a member, but are interested in joining the Association, please contact the membership secretary using the email address below:
For one week only in Chichester Library, Tower Street, there will be an exhibition of posters and photographs. This is to celebrate the recent town-twinning visit of members of Friends of Ravenna Association to Ravenna. Further information about the Association will also be available.
The AGM took place at 11.30am on Wednesday 20th June in the Old Court Room, Council House, North Street, Chichester. At the meeting the Committee was elected. (Please see ‘About Us’ for the Committee members). This was followed by lunch at ASK Italian which was attended by a large group of members.
