The Violins of Antonio Stradivari
An illustrated talk by Peter Turner
Peter Turner will give us an introduction to the Amati family and to Stradivarius, followed by the stories of three of Stradivari’s violins: the Viotti, the Messiah and the Khevenhuller.
About The Speaker
Peter is a retired Biochemical Scientist with an interest in music of all genres. He says that he ‘attempts to play the piano, but not the violin’.
Having read about Stradivarius violins and found the subject fascinating he felt that it was worth sharing his new found knowledge with the Friends of Ravenna at one of our events.
The event will take place on Thursday 10th April at 7:30pm
